Mandy is a Holistic therapist using several therapies to address lymphatic issues and the trauma of scars as well as other problems associated with stiffness and mobility. Qualified in Massage (Dip. Mandy recently completed her BSc (Hons) in Human Biology and Psychology, gaining valuable insights into the body/mind connection which are now incorporated into her work as a therapist. She is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists MFHT.
In 2010 Mandy joined Healing Hands Network, a charity with two goals: They travel out to Bosnia for six months every year to treat the civilian victims of the war there. She has been out to Bosnia twice, each time returning with a renewed perspective on life and what’s important. She has also worked on The Forces Project, where members of the U.K. forces, and their families, who have been adversely affected by their combat experiences, are given a relaxing treatment to help them cope with what has happened to them.
Working in conjunction with Combat Stress, SSAFA, the Royal British Legion, SAMA 82 and Fabcamps amongst others, Healing Hands Network has treated ex- soldiers and their wives in various locations across the country. It is rewarding and challenging work which has given direction to Mandy’s life for the past 7 years.
Mandy lives in Nantwich, has two grown, moved out, children and enjoys reading, trying to keep fit, cooking (mostly healthy food) and live music.
