Our Philosophy

As founder of Healing Thyme I take great personal pride in what is fast becoming a land-mark site on the High Street in Whitchurch. In the style of the old Apothecary shops of the past, we are happy to advise when appropriate.

Healing Thyme began as a dream, an aspiration to reach towards, during the long years (four) of training to be a Medical Herbalist in Glasgow. A chance visit to Whitchurch in 2004 began to give shape to the dream. In 2007 Healing Thyme opened with two small consulting rooms at the top of the High Street. I was joined there by four other practitioners who are still with Healing Thyme.

Twenty five years in the NHS helped me to focus on what I believed many people wanted but were unable to find locally. My vision was to bring holistic healing and safe expertise/advice to local people and the surrounding communities. As a trained Medical Herbalist I understand and work with natural plant based remedies. I wanted to create an environment where people’s health and happiness mattered more than anything else.
