Liz Castle
Liz Castle trained as an Acupuncturist for three years at the Northern College of Acupuncture, York. After qualifying in 1995 she worked at The Chien Clinic (The York Clinic) and then moved to Shropshire with her family. She has been practicing Acupuncture in Whitchurch for over 12 years, and now works from rooms in Healing Thyme.
Liz originally qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1982 and has many years experience working in the Health and Social Services. She practices and teaches Chi Kung and has trained with various Chi Kung masters. She also completed The College of (Elemental) Chi Kung’s two year part-time teacher training programme in 2006.
Liz is inspired by the wisdom and practical applications of classical Chinese Medicine, and by its continuing relevance to our health today. She has a friendly and professional approach and sees people with a wide range of health problems. As a Member of the British Acupuncture Council she observes strict codes of ethics and practice, is covered by professional indemnity and public liability insurance and develops her knowledge and skills by “continuous professional development”, such as reflective practice and attending courses and seminars.
Liz offers Acupuncture with associated treatments as appropriate including:
- moxa (a gentle warming herb used to stimulate some acupuncture points)
- cupping
- ear acupuncture
- electro-acupuncture
- acupressure, and meridian massage
- facial acupuncture
