I have worked in health care for over 35 years; as a theatre nurse and health visitor, and solely as a herbalist for the last ten years. Since 2005 I have also taught on the Bsc herbal medicine course at the University of Lincoln.
Herbal medicine is my preferred method of treatment for myself, my family and friends, many of whom contact me before anyone else with their health problems.
I believe that herbs can provide us with the means to assist the body's natural healing mechanisms, and combine them with healthy dietary and lifestyle advice to offer my patients a truly holistic and individual service.
I grow many herbs in my own garden, and make of lot of my own medicines using plants that I have grown or harvested from the wild, picking only those which have not been subjected to chemical spraying or other pollution.
I regularly meet with other herbalists to extend my knowledge and improve my understanding of this fascinating profession.
